Wayland’s Jalapeno Poppers Wrapped In Bacon

Jalapeño Poppers have been around and popular for quite a while. There many variations in filling and cooking methods. We present two here for your consideration.

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
These cheesy, bacon-wrapped jalapenos are crispy, spicy, creamy, and tasty.
Prep Time 15 min.
Total Time 35 min.
Servings 12

  1. 1/2 cup (1/2 of 8-oz. tub) Cream Cheese Spread. The spicy type adds even more flavor!
  2. 1/4 cup  Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (we also like the pepper jack cheese for filling)
  3. 6 large fresh jalapeño peppers, halved, seeded
  4. 12 slices bacon
  5. Heat oven to 425ºF.
  6. Combine cheeses; spoon into pepper halves. Wrap with bacon, overlapping edges as necessary.
  7. Place, filled sides up, in shallow foil-lined baking pan.
  8. Bake 17 to 20 min. or until bacon is done. Cool slightly before removing from pan to serve.
